Director of Clinical Services (LCSW or LPC) provides administrative supervision and direction for Care Coordinators, therapists, recreational therapists, teachers and interns throughout the hospital. The Clinical Services Director (LCSW or LPC) provides clinical supervision to provisionally licensed care coordinators and therapists working towards independent licensure. Responsible for conducting performance evaluations of clinical staff and ensures clinical staff maintains professional competencies and complies with professional continuing education standards and licensure requirements. In addition, the Director oversees the intern program for Brynn Marr Hospital's clinical services. The position works collaboratively with the charge nurses, program managers, and physicians to provide clinical programming and a therapeutic milieu for patients.
The Clinical Services Director (LCSW or LPC) facilitates weekly treatment planning meetings on the residential unit and participates in daily treatment planning meetings as available on the acute units. Facilitates weekly clinical staff meetings for acute and residential staff and participates in daily Manager's meetings, weekly Executive Council meetings, monthly Medical Executive Council meetings, monthly Quality Council meetings, monthly Leadership Team meeting, and serves on other councils or committees at the discretion of the CEO. Conducts monthly audits of clinical services and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and provision of care. Maintains and reports clinical outcome data as required by third-party payers and UHS.
Participates in orientation training sessions for new hires, providing in-service education on therapeutic interventions and other clinical topics. Provides clinical consultation to other disciplines or staff on an as-needed basis. Involved in resolution of patient and/or family grievances regarding clinical care, communicating with patients and families as needed.
Works closely with Utilization Review and Business Development in reviewing and approving applicants for admission to the resident treatment unit. Serves as a liaison between clinical staff and referring agencies in ensuring provision of quality care and promoting the hospital's reputation as a premier provider of inpatient psychiatric care. Promotes and models the principles of service excellence to internal and external customers of Brynn Marr Hospital.
Work schedule Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm and may include evenings and weekends as necessary.
