| The UAB School of Medicine is one of the premier research-intensive schools in the nation, ranked #23 in NIH funding, and currently in an era of major investment and growth. The Department of Radiology at UAB is seeking a chief for our breast imaging section. UAB is a state-of-the-art Academic Medical Center with a busy and lively clinical breast imaging service consisting of three dedicated breast imagers who are responsible for interpreting, over 36,000 exams annually including mammography, ultrasound, breast procedures, breast MRI, CESM, and DBT. The ideal candidate will have keen clinical skills, and an active interest in teaching, service, and research. Qualified applicants should be ABR-certified or eligible, have completed fellowship training in Breast Imaging or be proficient in Breast Imaging and Diagnostic Radiology, and must be eligible to practice medicine in Alabama. |
