Technical Skills: Provides high quality imaging using various modalities including neuro-vascular and endovascular angiography examination. Patient Assessment: Collaborates with team to collect data pre- and post-procedure, and prepares patients for procedures in CVIR. Equipment Operation and Maintenance. Safely and competently operates all radiographic, processing and inventory equipment in CVIR. Patient Advocate. Acts as a liaison between physician, family, and other interdepartmental units. Utilization of Resources. As part of the CVIR team, utilizes the laboratories efficiently and safely. Quality Assurance. Participates with team in unit assignment quality assurance projects.
Minimum 1-3 years work experience as a Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Technologist.
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiography.
BLS; ARRT registry in Vascular Interventional (VI), Cardiovascular (CV) or Cardiovascular Interventioal (CI) required.
Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Radiologic Technologist required only if the position is located in a free standing center not affiliated with an Inova Hospital.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, computer skills, and knowledge of sterile technique.
