Performs all nuclear medicine scans ordered by a physician that the camera is capable of imaging.Â Orders all isotopes as needed for the next day/same day/etc.Â Maintains a clean, organized, and professional work environment for the scanning room and hot lab according to Federal and State regulations.Â Cross-trained in other radiology modalities preferred.Â Completed department orientation and/or competency skills rosters as required.
Maintains radiation safety logs and badges for the Imaging Department sets up radiation safety meetings according to State and Federal regulations.
Supports Radiation Safety Officer (R.S.O.) in Radioactive Materials License (RML), to include hospital staff training in radiation safety. Assists R.S.O. in duties related to the radiation safety program as assigned.
Performs all appropriate procedures in the computer as needed (i.e. ordering exams, completing exams by terminal, billing supplies, etc.).
Report immediately to Imaging Lead/Supervisor/Director or designee any equipment problems (i.e. x-ray, processors, computer, etc.).
Performs other related duties as requested by the Imaging Supervisor/Lead/Director including, but not limited to: stocking rooms, maintaining clean work area, transporting patients, training new employees, etc.
