Shift: Scheduled hours Monday through Friday. Call and Holidays required.
Work Location: University Hospital and Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

Provide Nuclear Medicine imaging services to patients while departmental expectations are met and sustained.
Articulate precise understanding of how data flows in and out of modality work area.
Be attentive to patient satisfaction results and collaborate with management team on ways to improve the department in general and facility overall. Seek ways to improve systems and services. Assist with the education and instruction of student technologists and all others rotating through the area to learn.
Demonstrate ability to meet and sustain departmental expectations while completing Nuclear Medicine work assignments as it pertains to patient care in an ethical manner. Maintain integrity of equipment with careful manipulation at all times. Adhere to NRC and state safety regulations and standards. Demonstrate ability to perform routine quality controls for imaging equipment and radioactivity assaying devices. Assist the Medical Physicist in performing additional quality assurance testing as needed. Administer nonradioactive pharmaceuticals required in conjunction with nuclear medicine imaging, according to hospital and facility procedures, under the guidance of the Radiologist.
Demonstrate sustained ability when interacting with patients, to follow the AIDET principles (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Expectation and Thank You). Ensure confidentiality of all patient information is maintained.
Maintain current certifications and licensure status.
Understand time clock expectations and adhere to attendance and punctuality guidelines.
Bachelor’s degree from a formal training program in Nuclear Medicine Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities is necessary.
Must be registry eligible or registered with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
Previous experience in Nuclear Medicine in preferred.
