Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Radiologist
Established in 1963, Jefferson Radiology provides sub-specialty imaging and interventional services for 7 hospitals and 9 full service, free standing imaging centers in Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. The practice has long-standing hospital partnerships including Hartford Hospital (a tertiary care, academic hospital with an affiliation with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center), Connecticut Children's Medical Center, Windham Community Hospital, Day Kimball Hospital, Griffin Hospital, Noble Hospital and Holyoke Medical Center. The Jefferson Radiology outpatient imaging centers provide the full range of US, CT, MR and nuclear medicine capabilities.
We are looking to recruit a fellowship trained Nuclear and Molecular Medicine Radiologist (Radiology Residency) to join our growing organization. This is a unique opportunity that includes the best facets of practicing in a tertiary care teaching hospital without the pressures or constraints of a large university medical center. Our practice has a large and growing volume of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging exams, performed using state-of-the-art equipment including PET CT and SPECT CT at several outpatient and hospital locations. The full gamut of nuclear medicine examinations are performed on adult and pediatric patients of Hartford Hospital and the adjacent Connecticut Children's Medical Center using recently installed modern PET CT and SPECT CT systems and the full complement of radiopharmaceuticals, including recently approved agents such as ioflupane I-123 and fluciclovine F-18. The Jefferson Radiology outpatient offices include 3 SPECT capable gamma cameras and a very busy outpatient Iodine-131 radiotherapy service line. Our enterprise PACS allows for complex cases to be shared from all sites to facilitate sub-specialized interpretations, with close to one million total exams per year. Multi-disciplinary conferences are active at all hospitals and allow collaborative discussions on oncology cases involving oncologists, surgeons, pathologists, interventional oncologists and radiation oncologists. We welcome candidates who are comfortable interpreting body and oncologic imaging across all modalities.
Opportunities for flexible scheduling. Live within a commutable distance to Hartford hospital for nuclear medicine on-site, with occasional opportunities to read diagnostic from home.
Research and teaching opportunities are available in conjunction with the Hartford Hospital Radiology Residency Program of 20 residents.
Current Connecticut and Massachusetts licenses will be necessary and our staff will assist in credentialing.
Timeframe to partnership track status is 1 year with no “buy in” or AR. Our model will allow shared bonus distributions among partners based upon practice success.
