Job Summary: Perform all technical aspects of diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine procedures, including preparation of equipment and patients, while providing a safe and supportive environment for patients undergoing Nuclear Medicine procedures.
Essential Functions: Operate and maintain nuclear medicine gamma cameras, computers, uptake probe and dose calibrators, and treadmill EKG machines. Obtain pertinent history, verify that patients have been adequately prepared, and provide education necessary to ensure that patients understand the procedure to be performed and any necessary after care. You will be responsible for, handling, measurement, administration and accurate documentation of isotopes in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Perform and evaluate daily quality control of all equipment. Perform all aspects of compliance with requirement of the California Department of Health, Radiologic Health Branch. Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow general safety guidelines as well as ensure compliance with the ALARA program. Ensure confidentiality of all patient informal in maintained.
Associates or Bachelors degree with completion of approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program.
Maintain current certification and licensure status
