The University of Colorado Denver, Department of Radiology is currently seeking a Production Line Radiopharmaceutical Chemist. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in Radiotracer production in a PET facility.
Operate automated radiochemistry synthesis equipment for production of PET radiotracers in compliance with protocols and regulations
Perform routine analysis using Quality Control procedures in compliance with protocols and regulations
Setup, run and maintain automated synthesis modules, analytical instrumentation and other laboratory equipment.
Assist in the development and conduct process validations and stability procedures for PET radiotracers
Calibration and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) of equipment in in compliance with regulations
Preparation of reagents and solutions in compliance with protocols
Create, review and revise technical documents including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)'s, Master Batch Records (MBRs) and Specifications.
Participate in the resolution and investigations associated with Non-Conformance Processes (OOS, CAPA, and deviations)
Maintain accurate written records of radiopharmaceutical production and quality control according to procedures and regulatory requirements
Work in a professional and collaborative manner with team members and prospective investigator/users.
Maintain supplies of chemicals and keep the lab areas clean in compliance with protocols and regulations
This position requires at least a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with experience in analytical equipment such as HPLC and GC. Additional desired skill set would include experience in: C-11 and F-18 PET radiopharmaceuticals, Chemical synthesis of PET radiotracers, Microbiology testing, Clean room, Excellent record keeping, quality control and assurance, cGMP and FDA Regulatory.
