NYU Langone Radiation Oncology Physician Scientist Search 2019
The Department of Radiation Oncology at The NYU Langone School of Medicine invites applications for physician-scientist, tenure-track at all academic ranks for its Radiation Research Division. Applicants should have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree, be board certified or board eligible in Radiation Oncology, and possess an exceptional record of achievement in basic and/or translational cancer research. Graduates of the B. Leonard Holman Research Pathway in Radiation Oncology are strongly encouraged to apply. We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our interdisciplinary research team that is focused on discovering key mechanisms of cancer biology and translating these into novel therapeutic and diagnostic approaches.
Faculty in the Department of Radiation Oncology are members of the Laura and Isaac Perlmutter Cancer Center, an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. New faculty members will be supported with generous start-up packages, excellent laboratory space, access to laboratory animal facilities, and a wide range of state-of-the-art core facilities providing services in genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, high throughput biology, bioinformatics, cell imaging, flow cytometry, and pathology. Successful candidates are expected to initiate and maintain a vigorous, independent, extramurally funded research program, participate in the NYU School of Medicine graduate programs within the Sackler Institute and be eligible for membership in NIH-supported training programs designed to support pre- and post-doctoral trainees.
