Port Jefferson Station, Long Island NY. New York Cancer and Blood Specialists, a prominent and respected Oncology/Hematology group, is seeking a Surgical Cytopathologist to join a well-established and growing pure sub-specialty practice with academic affiliation. Practice manages a freestanding outpatient 7-day per week Cancer Center with extensive chemotherapy administration, Radiation Oncology, Pharmacy and Research department.
We currently seek a full-time Surgical Cytopathologoist who will:
Provide diagnosis of biopsy and cytology specimens.
Provide interpretation of special test results, such as immunohistochemical staining and molecular tests (FISH).
Provide consultation of laboratory results for clinicians and patients.
Implement and monitor the standards of performance in quality control and quality assurance.
Maintain strong relationships with referring physicians
MD or DO, in good standing, with AP or AP/CP and cytology Board Certification.
Minimum of 5 years post-training experience.
Fellowship training in cytology, breast and/or GU pathology is preferred.
Must be able to obtain New York State medical licenses.
