Primary role is to perform all aspects of Magnetic Resonance Imaging under the direct supervision of the Radiologist. Required to provide high quality examinations in accordance with the protocols and policies of the Imaging Department while providing safe compassionate care to the patient. Proficient in the operation of all equipment associated with the performance of scanning, including the MRI unity, its accessories, injectors, monitors and laser camera. Expected to maintain high standards of technical competence and be an example and assist other technical personnel and student radiographers within the department. Technologists are required to participate in on-call coverage for the MRI modality as part of the essentials of the job requirement. And, MR technologists are required to assist with and perform CT exams or general radiography exams, during any/all MRI downtime or CT workload surges.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (including required licenses/certifications, education and job knowledge/experience):
Graduate of an approved Program of Radiologic Technology
Current FL General Radiographer License
ARRT registered in MR and Computed Tomography
Current BLS Certification
Knowledge of Cross Sectional Anatomy and basic understanding of Physiology
