The Siemens 64-slice PET-CT has a large 78 cm, short tunnel opening with a 500 lb table capacity for greater patient comfort and shorter exam times. Additional features include optimized dosing, especially critical for patients with frequent follow-up exams and brain imaging specific to dementia, traumatic brain injury and epilepsy evaluation. Our expertly-trained radiologists and technologists image and treat a wide range of conditions using PET/CT.

Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training in an AMA approved school required
Satisfactory completion of formal Nuclear Medicine Technology training in an AMA approved school preferred.
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology, ARRT (R) required, ARRT (CT) preferred
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology, ARRT (N) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) preferred.
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
2-3 years experience preferred
Performs ordered examinations of appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the individual site reading physician
Maintains technical competency through continues education as required by accrediting and licensing bodies
Under guidance and approval of site Radiologist, administers contrast agents and/or radio-pharmaceuticals according to site-specific protocols
Calculates, measures, and records radiopharmaceutical dosages received, used, and disposed using computer and following physician’s prescription
Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems. Calls for service and notifies all pertinent team members
Cooperates with facility healthcare professionals and complies with facility policies/procedures to maintain occupational radiation exposures ALARA.
Complies with all safety policies and regulations including radiation safety
